First Coordination Meeting on Sterile Insect Technique for Area-Wide Integrated Pest Management in Tapachula (Mexico)

Benaki Phytopathological Institute participated in the 1^st Coordination Meeting on Sterile Insect Technique for Area-Wide Integrated Pest Management, which was held in in Tapachula (Mexico) from the 4^th to the 8^th of July 2016. The current meeting was organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Dr A. Michaelakis (project manager of the LIFE CONOPS project) presented the status of invasive species (invasive mosquito species-IMS) and mosquito borne diseases in Greece. Moreover, the “Management Plans for IMS” (developed within the framework of LIFE CONOPS project) were presented.
